The province of Neuquén is located in west-central Argentina, its capital is the city of Neuquén, which, at the same time, it's located in the eastern region of the province, bordering the Province of Río Negro. It is one of the Argentinian provinces located within the Patagonian region of the country. The City of Neuquén, interestingly, it's located in the extreme east of the province, practically bordering the provinces of La Pampa and Río Negro.

Neuquén is very close to locations such as: Cipolletti, General Roca, Cutral Co, Chos Malal, San Martin de Los Andes, Bariloche and Las Grutas. Such as the province of Mendoza, the province is bordered to the east by the famous Cordillera de Los Andes. Some of the most visited points of the province and city of Neuquén are: Paseo de la Costa, Monumento a San Martín, Río Limay, Represa el Chocón and Iglesia Catedral de Neuquén.

Information about Añelo:

The city of Añelo is located in the eastern center of the province of Neuquén, which makes up the Argentine Patagonia. It is located 100 km north of the provincial capital, on the left bank of the Neuquén River. Between the river and the fence a valley is formed that serves as seat to the town and that through the irrigation it has been possible to use the land for the tillage.

A few kilometers away is the Cerros Colorados Hydroelectric Complex, which through the Portezuelo Grande dam regulates the flow of the Neuquén River.

Within the nearby geography of the fences, is the rock formation of Los Pilares or Monigotes of approximately 25 meters of height.

The most outstanding feature of Añelo today is that it is the area where the Vaca Muerta oil field is located, one of the largest mines of energy wealth in the world, it is a discovery capable of modifying the DNA of an entire town. When the Argentine government confirmed its finding in 2011, the State Department of the United States classified it as the second place with the most gas resources on the planet. What to do:

A kilometer from Añelo is the Auca Mahuida dead volcano, a privileged place in terms of archeology since at the foot of the volcano there is the largest herbivorous dinosaur egg site of record. Another attraction is one of the last reserves of guanacos found in Patagonia.
