Cipolletti is a city located within the Province of Río Negro, in western Río Negro, practically bordering the province of Neuquén, is located about 10 km from the city of Neuquén.

The city has around 80,000 inhabitants, and is very close to other locations such as: Neuquén, Centenario, Plottier, Cutral Co, General Roca, Villa Regina and Casa de Piedra.

Although tourism is not its main economic activity, the number of visitors has been increasing in recent years, and some of the most popular activities visited when traveling to Cipolletti are: Parque Roseur, Corredor Turístico Parque Cretacico, Arroyito, Santuario de Santa Rita de Ferri.
